The great advantage of an irrigation bag is the constant drip irrigation of the soil. Parched soil is difficult to absorb water in the summer. When watering, the water flows away from the tree and evaporates. To provide the roots with sufficient water, targeted and continuous irrigation is necessary. The bag allows a great time saving, in a few minutes it is filled. At the bottom of the water bags, the soil is slowly soaked over several hours. A positive side effect is the water temperature in the sack, which over hours becomes equal to the ambient temperature. The trunk and roots are thus gently watered and do not get stressed by cold water from the garden hose. Cold shock is especially detrimental to young trees and new plantings. The application of irrigation bags is simple. When open, it is placed around the tree trunk like a jacket and zipped closed. Due to the sufficiently large filling opening, the water bag can be filled effortlessly with the garden hose. For a stable upright position on the trunk, keep lifting the bag slightly by the loops while the water runs in. Once the watering bag is set up and filled, the tree will be watered efficiently for several hours.
If the circumference of the tree trunk is larger than 30 cm, 2 watering bags can be connected by the zippers. The water bag is especially suitable for new plantings and young trees.
